Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14, 1997, in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. The 2016 Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at one Games as well as the first gymnast in history to win three consecutive World All-around championships (2013-15). Biles was born at home in Spring Texas, in the Houston metro region. Her sister Adria were adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone's fascination with gymnastics started when she was just six years old after a visit with her group of daycare children to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained with Aimee Borman's guidance until 2011. Biles achieved a silver medal at vault in 2010 and also a bronze medal at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She then moved up to the level of elite competition in the year 2011. A year later Biles was the king of the field. Biles stood out for her consistency in performance, vivacious personality as well as the difficulty of her routines in all four events including vault, bars with uneven surfaces, and the balance beam.
